Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas popularly known in the media as Ashanti was born on October 13, the 13th of October, 1980 at Glen Cove New York United States. She is a musician, singer and actor who hails from America. United States. Ashanti began her professional career as a teenager, and was later signed to Murder Inc. Records by 2002. That same year she made an appearance on Fat Joe's What's Luv? track and Ja Rule's Always on Time track, both of which became massive hits. Her hits include Foolish (number number one) and How's Luv! Then she began to hang around her local Murder Inc. Studio hoping to get an opportunity. Ashanti began as a back-up vocalist on Big Pun's song, How We Roll. She also appeared in the Fat Joe song "What's Luv?" and Ja Rule's Never On Time. Her sample for her debut single Foolish is from DeBarge's Stay with Me the track from 1983. Ashanti released her self-titled debut album in 2002. It was released via Irv Gotti's Murder Inc. label. The Declaration is Ashanti's forth studio album. The album was made available on Murder Inc. on the 3rd of June, 2008. Hey Baby After the Club was released on October 16, 2008 to radio and digital stores. The singer played Latasha as Latasha in Army Wives and starred in the movie Christmas in the City. Aitch sampled Rock wit U in his Baby on the 10th of March 2022.
